American actor, Al Pacino, suffered an embarrassing fall as he took a tumble on the red carpet while arriving with his girlfriend Meital Dohan at the BAFTAs on Sunday evening.

The screen star, 79, lost his footing as he made his way into the Royal Albert Hall, the venue for the event.

Photographers captured the moment and the shock on his girlfriend’s face who then quickly helped him back up with a team of event staff.

Pacino was nominated for the Supporting Actor for his role as Jimmy Hoffa in gangster flick The Irishman, but lost the award to Brad Pitt, who collected the win for his part in Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood.
