‘As I write, there are strange movements around my residence’ – Governor Fayose confirms EFCC’s invasion of his residence

The outgoing Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has Tweeted that armed men of the EFCC may have invaded his Abuja residence despite his plan to corporate and his earlier plan to surrender himself for questioning at their office today.

The governor tweeted from his official account saying, ‘It is known to the public that I offered to make myself available at the EFCC office today.However, as I write,there are strange movements around my residence and I’m aware of planned invasion any moment from now.Despite this,I’Il be at the commission’s office tomorrow as promised’.

He added that, ‘Thank you Ekiti Kete! As I bow out after serving two terms as your governor, making unprecedented impacts, I place you under the protection of the Almighty God. His grace will never depart from you. Thank you all’.

The governor then went on to retweet a post that reads, ‘armed men of the EFCC have invaded the Abuja residence of the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose. Details sketchy but it can be confirmed that the EFCC operatives came in three hilux vehicles’.
