Ellen DeGeneres surprises Kenyan woman by reuniting her with her family and it’s tearjerking

Ellen DeGeneres brought smiles to the faces of a Kenyan family by reuniting them during her show and it’s one of the most beautiful videos you’ll watch today.

Achieng Agutu, a Kenyan woman who left Kenya 5 years ago to the United States to pursue a university education was surprised by Ellen as she was brought out during The Ellen Show. But the greater surprise was when Ellen told her they had sent a camera crew to South Africa and Kenya so she can have a video call with her family.

The greatest surprise for Achieng was finding out that her family were actually in the studio but backstage. 

The moment Ellen revealed to her that her family were present and reunited them brought so much joy to Achieng that she couldn’t control her emotions.

Ellen even went ahead to gift the family $50,000.

Sharing the video to Twitter, Ellen wrote: “Achieng is in my audience, and hasn’t seen her family in 2 years, since they’re in Kenya and South Africa… which is weird, because I’m pretty sure I have some people from Kenya and South Africa backstage.”
