Tech expert narrates how her sister who hawked pepper in Nigeria died of cancer 6 months after getting job in the US

A tech expert is advising Nigerians to take care of their health after her sister died of cancer shortly after getting a job in the US.

Dr. Adeola Olubamiji said her sister hawked pepper in Nigeria to send herself to school. She eventually won a US visa lottery and went to the US where she started school again.

She then got a nice job and bought a car. Unfortunately,  6 months into her new job, she found out she had cancer and it was already in stage 3.

Adeola said her sister did everything right but “didn’t have a reason to go to the hospital because she was healthy”.

Adeola advised Nigerians to go to the hospital regularly for checkups even when they are healthy.

“Africans, you don’t need to be sick before you go to the hospital,” she warned.
