Idris Elba suggests social media companies make it mandatory that everyone proves their identity before creating account to reduce trolling

Actor, Idris Elba, has suggested that social media companies make it compulsory for people to identify themselves properly before creating an account, to reduce trolling on social media.

He said a lot of faceless people hide behind anonymous accounts to say damaging things because they know they can get away with it.

He added that the way celebrities are verified on social media, there should be a way for account users to make their real identity known so everyone know who is speaking.

“If cowards want to spout racial rhetoric then say it with your name, not your username,” the actor said.
