NGO rescues two children found crying on the street after they were allegedly thrown out by their aunt in Calabar

An NGO has rescued two children found alone and in distress on a street in Calabar, the Cross River state capital on Wednesday February 24.

According to the NGO, Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, the siblings identified as Mary Abraham and Evelyn Daniel Edet, said they were allegedly driven out of the house by their aunt, Comfort.

“Two children ( Mary Abraham and Evelyn Daniel Edet) were found on kings street by diamond junction (Big Qua) Calabar.BRCI caseworkers found them alone and crying by the road. After an interview, it was found that they were brought to stay with their aunty (Comfort) who lives at Ekpri Ikang by their mother. It was further learnt that the said Aunty Comfort drove them out of the house.
