Girl who lost her parents in Manchester terror attack says Isis bride Shamima Begum should not be allowed back to the UK

A teenager whose parents were killed in the Manchester Arena terror attack has said ISIS bride Shamima Begum should not be allowed back into the UK.

Alex Klis’s parents – Marcin and Angelika – were killed as they waited to pick her up from Ariana Grande’s concert in 2017. The attack was carried out by Islamist terrorists and it changed Alex’s life forever by leaving her to raise her 14-year-old sister.

Alex, now 21, appeared on ITV This Morning, yesterday, where she said ISIS bride Shamima Begum ‘should just remain where she is’.

Alex spoke out after Ms Begum compared the Manchester Arena bombing to military strikes on Isis strongholds, calling the terror attack ‘retaliation’. But Alex said both situations cannot be compared.

Alex said:

She’s saying that there are fighters in IS that are getting killed. Those people go there knowing what to expect.

People who went to the Manchester Arena, they went there to take their kids to a concert.

She’s out of order, comparing those two things. She’s made her bed. I think she should remain where she is. I don’t think she’s being honest.

The only reason that she wants to come back is because she couldn’t stay where she was. What is the point in coming back if you enjoy it so much there?
