This White man gets life in prison for killing an unarmed black man in fake ‘Neighbourhood Watch’ incident

Just because George Zimmerman got away with it, this one also thought he could. Chad Copley has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the death of Kouren Rodney Bernand Thomas.

Below is what happened from a report by Baller AlertIn 2016, a North Carolina man, claiming to be part of “neighborhood watch,” called 911 to warn the operators that he was going to kill the “hoodlums” in his neighborhood. ???????

???????
“I’m on neighborhood watch. I am going to have the neighborhood meet these hoodlums out here racing up and down the street,” Chad Copley said to the emergency operator. “It’s 1 in the morning. There’s some devil in them. They have firearms and we’re going to secure our neighborhood. If I was you, I would send PD out here as quickly as possible,” later adding, “I’m going to kill them.” ???????
???????
After his conversation with the 911, Copley fired his gun and struck 20-year-old #KourenRodneyBernardThomas. He then redialed 911 to explain the incident, claiming one of the boys brandished a gun. ???????
???????
However, upon arrival, officials found an unarmed Thomas with a gunshot wound. He was quickly taken to a local hospital, where he was then pronounced dead. ???????
???????
Shortly after the incident, Thomas’ friend explained that their actions were innocent and completely opposite of Copley’s claims. In fact, David Walker said he and Thomas tried to get into a party on Copley’s block, but when they couldn’t get immediate access, they decided to leave. ???????
???????
While Walker’s story was slightly different from Copley’s, the end result was the same-Thomas was shot. ???????
???????
During the trial, Copley, who the family attorney named ‘George Zimmerman 2.0’, maintained he fired in self-defense against the group of armed men. However, after a cross-examination, Copley admitted that he saw no gun and that there wasn’t even a neighborhood watch. ???????
???????
As a result, Copley was found guilty on first-degree murder charges and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
