Thousands of French protesters defied a police ban on large gathering and converged on the main Paris courthouse for a demonstration to show solidarity with U.S. protesters over the death of George Floyd, the black man who was killed by a White police officer in Minneapolis last week.

The protesters were seen clapping, cheering and waving signs reading “Black Lives Matter” and “Police Everywhere, Justice Nowhere,” as they peacefully gathered outside the main Paris courthouse on Tuesday.
